A big thank you to the Brisbane Broncos, who through their Charities Fund 2020, helped fund our fourteenth Unfunded Project, an Aigo Standing Transfer Aid. We are pleased to announce that this helpful piece of equipment has arrived. This will provide a safe means of transfer for several participants with reduced mobility, while encouraging participation to help maintain the participant’s independence. Last year, Rural Lifestyle Options Australia rolled out RAW Mind Coach to all staff, a ten session e-learning program designed to boost resilience and enhance mental wellbeing. In the spirit of Feel Good February and to further promote the importance of mindfulness in the workplace, we are gifting staff members who access RAW Mind Coach at random, a book from their recommended reading list. The third recipient is Michele Guinea, Lifestyle Support Worker who Michelle Latailakepa, Chief Executive Officer presented a copy of ‘How To Relax’ by Thich Nhat Hanh. In this book, the author reminds the reader how critical it is to regularly interrupt the routine of our lives to stop, relax mindfully, and recharge.
