A big thank you to the Brisbane Broncos, who through their Charities Fund 2020, helped fund our fourteenth Unfunded Project, an Aigo Standing Transfer Aid. We are pleased to announce that this helpful piece of equipment has arrived. This will provide a safe means of transfer for several participants with reduced mobility, while encouraging participation to help maintain the participant’s independence. Earlier in the year, Rural Lifestyle Options Australia was successful in receiving a grant through the Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF) to the value of $27,272.73. This grant assisted the organisation in purchasing one wheelchair accessible Kia Carnival, which in turn reduced our lease costs by $18,500 per annum. Mr Jon Krause MP, who provided a letter of support to complement our application, recently visited Mr David Gordon, Interim Chief Executive Officer, to learn more about the impact of this purchase, and what it meant to our participants when travelling from A to B.
