A new way to 'Live well, live longer.'

Support At Home

We are proud to deliver bespoke 'Support At Home' services through
My Aged Care with a splash of country charm.

At Rural Lifestyle Options Australia, our goal remains the same. We strive to help you stay independent in your own home for longer, with personalised care that suits your lifestyle.

With the upcoming 'Support at Home' program launching in July 2025, we are excited to continue offering flexible services tailored to your individual needs and preferences. Whether you are looking for help around the house, support with personal care, or just someone to spend time with, we are here to make life a little easier, so you can continue living the life you love at home.

What is the 'Support At Home' program?

The 'Support at Home' program is a new, simplified way to access in-home aged care support through My Aged Care. It will replace the Home Care Packages Program and the Short-Term Restorative Care Program from 1 July 2025.

This program is all about flexibility. It offers a wide range of services under one model and is designed to evolve with you as your care needs change. When you sign up with Rural Lifestyle Options Australia, you will be supported by our experienced team, who will work alongside you to create a personalised care plan that meets your goals and maximises your support.

We will also help you understand your options, implement your 'Support At Home' supports and manage your services, so you can focus on what matters most to you.

Discover what the 'Support At Home' program means for you...

From 1 July 2025, the Home Care Package program will be replaced by the new 'Support at Home' program as part of the Australian Government’s aged care reforms. This change aims to deliver more funding, higher quality care, and a simpler, improved system to support older Australians to live independently at home for longer.

At Rural Lifestyle Options Australia (RLOA), we are here to guide you through this transition and ensure you continue receiving the care and support you need.

The 'Support at Home' program is designed to provide:

  • Quicker access to funding

  • Expanded care options

  • More transparent service delivery

  • Fairer pricing for aged care services

If you currently receive a Home Care Package, you will automatically transition to the new 'Support at Home' system without losing your funding or your unspent funds.

The 'No Worse Off Principle' - Protecting Your Funding

The Australian Government has introduced the “No Worse Off” principle to safeguard your existing Home Care Package funding.

This means:

  • Your funding will not be reduced during the transition.

  • Your out-of-pocket contributions will stay the same or lower compared to the Home Care Package system.

  • This principle applies to anyone who, as of 12 September 2024, is:

    • Receiving a Home Care Package

    • On the National Priority System

    • Assessed as eligible for a Home Care Package

Moving to 'Support at Home' - What you need to know...

When you move to the new 'Support at Home' system:

  • You keep your current funding level

  • You retain your unspent funds

  • You continue receiving the support services you rely on

At RLOA, we are committed to making your transition to 'Support at Home' seamless and stress-free.

Choose from a wide selection of options designed to make your life easier.

Whether you need assistance with re-connecting with your community, getting out and about, cleaning and household tasks, support with maintaining your garden or personal care services, we will tailor our service to suit your individual needs.
