Meet Cindy

 

Cindy joined Rural Lifestyle Options Australia in December 2019 and is the NDIS Intake and Support Officer for the Gold Coast and Northern New South Wales regions. Prior to joining the organisation, Cindy held roles in both the community service and education sectors which supported people with a disability in the community. Cindy notes that her favourite aspect of working for Rural Lifestyle Options Australia is “seeing participants happy and achieving their goals”. She also enjoys the “friendly staff” and the feeling of “being apart of a team”. Outside of work, Cindy enjoys spending time with her family, arts and crafts, going to the beach, cooking and entertaining.   

Meet Noah

 

Noah joined Rural Lifestyle Options Australia in September 2015 as a Lifestyle Support Worker and has 5 years experience supporting people with disabilities. His favourite aspect about working for the organisation is the interaction with the participants. Noah is passionate about his work and he personally enjoys watching the participants progress in their life goals stating that “it is really amazing”. In his spare time Noah enjoys watching Rugby Union, NRL, Soccer and going to the movies with friends. Noah possesses a Certificate III in Aged Care and Certificate III in Disability.

Meet Fiona

 

Fiona joined Rural Lifestyle Options Australia in February 2011 as a Lifestyle Support Worker. Fiona states that her "aim is to assist in providing support in a caring way that enhances the development in others". Outside of work, Fiona enjoys spending time with friends and family, going to the movies, reading and gardening. Fiona possesses a Certificate III in Education Support.   

Meet Sheryl

 

Sheryl joined Rural Lifestyle Options Australia in March 2003 as a Lifestyle Support Worker. Her favourite aspect about working for the organisation is the knowledge she has gained advocating for participants while supporting them to achieve their goals. Sheryl notes that she loves "how the organisation supports participants to engage in activities within the community". Outside of work, Sheryl enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching movies, bush walking and painting.  Sheryl possesses a Certificate III in Disability and Certificate III in Aged Care.  

Meet Kara

BA(Gov&Psych)

Kara joined Rural Lifestyle Options Australia in March 2019 and is a Service Manager. Prior to joining the organisation, Kara held several roles in the community services sector and is passionate about this space. In 2014, Kara commenced her journey in the disability industry, which she has held roles in ever since. Kara notes that her favourite aspect about working for Rural Lifestyle Options Australia is “working within a team who are dedicated to participant outcomes” further stating that she “enjoys being a part of the process of assisting participants in reaching their goals and establishing new abilities”. Outside of work, Kara likes to go on adventures with her family, in particular she enjoys spending time with them going boating, fishing and camping. Kara also possesses a Certificate III in Allied Health (Client Support Strain).   

Meet Helen

 

Helen joined Rural Lifestyle Options Australia in August 2012 as a Lifestyle Support Worker. Her favourite thing about working here is the happy environment the organisation provides. She also loves working with the people - both staff and participants. In Helen's spare time she enjoys go-karting on dirt tracks, partaking in craft work, gaming, kayaking and listening to music. Overall Helen feels "Rural Lifestyle Options Australia is an awesome place" and is inspired by the people she supports. Helen possesses a Certificate III in Disability.

Meet Rachael

Rachael joined Rural Lifestyle Options Australia in December 2010 as a Lifestyle Support Worker. Her favourite aspect about working for the organisation is helping the participants learn new skills. Rachael notes that one of the most rewarding aspects of her role is watching a participant fulfil a new goal which she has assisted in facilitating. Outside of work, Rachael enjoys spending time with friends and family, going on bush walks, being active and following creative pursuits. Rachael possesses a Certificate III in Disability.

Meet Raven

Raven joined Rural Lifestyle Options Australia in May 2019 and is a Finance Officer. Raven joined the organisation with over 20 years experience in finance related roles across Australia, England and Ireland. Her favourite aspect about working for Rural Lifestyle Options Australia is “knowing that together the team is making a difference within communities” further stating that she is “passionate about being of service to Participants and Lifestyle Support Workers within this finance role”. Outside of work, Raven loves connecting with her medicine drums, meditation, working with Mother Earth and expanding her life to the way of the Shaman.

Meet Ashleigh

Ashleigh joined Rural Lifestyle Options Australia in October 2018 and is a Finance Officer. Prior to joining the organisation, Ashleigh accumulated over 10 years experience in a variety of finance related roles across the construction and information technology industries. Her favourite aspect about working for the organisation is the people, both participants and staff alike. Ashleigh notes that she is “passionate about assisting participants manage their finances to achieve their goals” further stating that she “enjoys helping others”. Outside of work, Ashleigh enjoys keeping active, travelling, and spending time with her friends and family. Ashleigh also possesses a Certificate III in Business.  

Meet Sam

CertIVHR, DipMan, DipOHS

Sam joined Rural Lifestyle Options Australia in October 2017 and is currently a Team Leader. Her favourite aspect about working for the organisation is "the atmosphere" stating that "it doesn't feel like a job, it feels like I'm at home". Sam is passionate about helping others and outside of work enjoys spending time with her family, dogs and goats. She is an avid music fan who is enthusiastic about "supporting the community, art, Mother Nature and all that she gives us". 

Meet Annett

MAIOP

Annett joined Rural Lifestyle Options Australia in May 2017 and is the Office Manager. Prior to joining the organisation, Annett has held several people focused roles and recently worked in a program that supported parents and carers of children with Autism. Annett notes that her favourite aspect of working for Rural Lifestyle Options Australia is meeting the participants and learning more about them. Outside of work, Annett enjoys playing board games with her children, cooking, socialising with friends, listening to music and watching movies.

Meet Dillon

Dillon joined Rural Lifestyle Options Australia in April 2017 as a Lifestyle Support Worker. His favourite aspect about working for the organisation is being outdoors and involved in the wider community. Prior to joining Rural Lifestyle Options Australia, Dillon used to visit schools to promote the development of Rugby League among rural communities. Dillon notes he is an avid dog breeder, is very family orientated and enjoys spending time at the beach. He is an accredited Level II Australian Rugby League Referee, Level II Australian Rugby League Coach and has a Certificate II in Conservation and Land Management. 

Meet Rocki

Rocki joined Rural Lifestyle Options Australia in November 2018 as a Lifestyle Support Worker and is now a Service Manager. Prior to joining the organisation, Rocki was a qualified nurse where she discovered her talent and passion for supporting people who had vulnerabilities. Rocki notes that her favourite aspect about working for the organisation is the “feeling of belonging” further stating that “the personal aspect makes RLOA a truly special place to work and is true to the organisation’s motto of “big enough to provide the service, small enough to look after you””. Outside of work, Rocki enjoys spending time with her children, cooking, reading and spending time outdoors.
 

Meet Melinda

Melinda joined Rural Lifestyle Options Australia in April 2019 and is the People and Culture Coordinator. Prior to joining the organisation, Melinda worked in a variety of roles across both Customer Relations and Human Resources. Melinda notes that her favourite aspect about working for the organisation is the “assisting people settle into their new dream role within the organisation”. Outside of work, Melinda enjoys spending time with her family, camping, gardening, motorbike riding and relaxing by the pool. 

Meet Helena

Helena joined Rural Lifestyle Options Australia in November 2015 and is currently a Lifestyle Support Worker for the organisation. Helena’s favourite aspect about working for the organisation is the variety of participants and the things she learns from them. Helena notes that she also enjoys making a difference in improving the quality of life of our participants. Outside of work, Helena enjoys animals, rescuing wildlife and motorcycle riding. 

Meet Sally

 

Sally joined Rural Lifestyle Options Australia in March 2018 and is a Customer Service Assistant. Prior to joining the organisation, Sally accumulated over 15 years experience in a variety of roles across both the administration and retail industries. Sally notes that her favourite aspect about working for the organisation is the people, both participants and staff alike. Outside of work, Sally enjoys watching movies, spending time with her family and camping. Sally possesses a Certificate III in Business Administration.
