Disability Action Week is held annually in September with the aim of empowering people with disability, raising awareness of disability issues, and improving access and inclusion throughout the wider community.
This year, Disability Action Week is held from 9 to 15 September 2018 with the theme ‘An all abilities Queensland: everybody has a role to play’.
With 1 in 5 Queenslanders having a disability, and disability touching the lives of most Queenslanders in some way, the week is an important celebration.
On Saturday, 15 September 2018 join Rural Lifestyle Options Australia at the Tamborine Pony Club for a day of family fun to break the stigma around disability.
The 1:5 All Abilities Charity Relay will see teams of up to five, work together to complete a 5km relay at the stunning Tamborine Pony Club. On the day, there will be family entertainment including children’s rides, face painting, balloon twisting, food trucks and a live musical performance by TJ Macc.
Come and support our relay participants on Saturday 15 September 2018 from 10am as we do our part to empower people with disability and promote inclusion throughout the wider community.
