At Rural Lifestyle Options Australia we like to celebrate the contribution of staff who have been with us on this journey for a long period of time. Previously, we acknowledged 5, 10, 15 and 20 year milestones but back in July 2020 we made the decision to also acknowledge 17.5 years too.

Since the introduction of this new award, our first staff member to reach this milestone is Sheryl Colton, who was recently presented with her 17.5 Years of Service Award by Michelle Latailakepa, Chief Executive Officer and Ann Armstrong, Vice Chair (Board of Directors).

In recognition of Sheryl’s dedication and loyalty to the organisation, Sheryl received an award acknowledging this milestone, a personalised letter from the CEO and a $175 RLOA Gift Card which can be used at a variety of major retailers.

Please join us in congratulating Sheryl!

Is your gut instinct saying someone might not be doing so well?

You've got what it takes to ask "are you ok?" and make a difference.

Thursday, 10 September 2020 marks R U OK? Day, a national day of action where Australians are reminded that every day is the day to ask, “Are you OK?”.

If someone in your world is struggling with life’s ups and downs, R U OK? have developed a range of resources to help Australians know what to say when someone says they’re not OK to guide them through how they can continue a conversation that could change a life.

Rural Lifestyle Options Australia understand that the health and wellbeing of our people is paramount to everything we do, and are proud to support this initiative.

At the beginning of each month, our People and Culture Division share with staff an Action for Happiness Calendar through our monthly People and Culture Insights Update to promote good health and wellbeing among our workforce. 📅

As an organisation, we are committed to re-sharing these Calendars, to remind everyone to look after themselves and each other, as we face this global crisis together.

‘Self-Care September 2020’ is a good reminder that "Self-care is not selfish. You can't pour from an empty cup".
