NAIDOC Week 2020 Virtual Afternoon Tea

Last week, Rural Lifestyle Options Australia celebrated the histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples with a Virtual Afternoon Tea in recognition of NAIDOC Week 2020.

This year, the theme was ‘Always Was, Always Will Be’ which recognised that First Nations peoples have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years.

As an organisation, we are committed to taking a proactive approach to advancing reconciliation and we invite all Australians to embrace the true history of this country—a history that dates back thousands of generations.

Remembrance Day 2020

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old.

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.

Movember 2020

You may not be aware, but men are facing a health crisis that isn’t being talked about.

They’re dying too young.

Much before their time.

One of our participants, Aaron, identified that the solution to this crisis has been sitting right under our noses the whole time – Movember. 👨🏻

Aaron is passionate about men’s health and would like to raise money and spread awareness to this worthwhile cause in any way that he can. He appreciates the support he has received through Rural Lifestyle Options Australia and feels this is his way of paying it forward (he can also grow quite an impressive moustache).
