Welcome to Jump Back Up July! ✨

At the beginning of each month, Rural Lifestyle Options Australia share with staff the Action for Happiness Calendar through our monthly People and Culture Insights.

As an organisation, we are committed to re-sharing these Calendars, to remind everyone to keep calm, stay wise and be kind. 📅

We hope ‘Jump Back Up July 2021’ will help you find ways to bounce back.

Next week, Celena Bolton (Service Manager for Rural Lifestyle Options Australia) is taking part in the Ride For Autism challenge to help create a world where no-one on the autism spectrum is left behind.

Celena will be riding between 50km - 100km over the course of a week starting Sunday 4 July 2021 while raising much needed funds to support people on the autism spectrum.

An estimated 1 in every 70 people is on the spectrum. Along with their family members, this means autism is a part of daily life for over a million Australians.

People on the spectrum see, hear, feel and experience the world differently. For many, simply coping with the everyday can lead to confusion, anxiety and isolation.

By coming together and taking action, we can help provide opportunities for people on the autism spectrum to participate, engage and thrive in the world around them.

Show your support and help make Celena's ride count by donating via the link: https://www.rideforautism.org.au/fundraisers/celenabolton/ride-for-autism

Please be advised that due to the 3 day lockdown announced by the Queensland Government yesterday for residents in Townsville, Palm Island, Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan City, Moreton Bay, Redlands, Sunshine Coast, Noosa, Somerset, Lockyer Valley, Scenic Rim and Gold Coast, our Logan Central and Beaudesert offices will be closed until 8:30am on Monday, 5 July 2021.

Our Queensland staff will continue to work remotely during this time and can still be contacted on 1300 032 175.

All essential services delivered to participants will continue with extra safety precautions implemented in the aforementioned areas to protect the health and wellbeing of both participants and staff.

As a reminder, to prevent the spread:

🔹 Stay at home if you are sick;

🔹 If you have any COVID-19 symptoms, no matter how mild, get tested then isolate at home until you get the results and your symptoms resolve;

🔹 If you have to leave your home, stay 1.5 metres away from other people—think two big steps;

🔹 Wash your hands with soap and water, or hand sanitiser;

🔹 Leave a location if it is crowded.

If you have any concerns about your health, or are unsure if you need to get tested or isolate, or contact 13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84). Rural Lifestyle Options Australia will continue to monitor the situation and advise of any further updates.
