The following information was provided by the Queensland Government on Saturday, 22 August 2020.
The following Local Government Areas (LGAs), which are the relevant LGAs for West Moreton Hospital and Health Service, Metro South Hospital and Health Service and Metro North Hospital and Health Service, have been declared Queensland COVID-19 restricted areas and restricted activities apply as outlined in the below Directions:
Brisbane Local Government Area
Ipswich Local Government Area
Logan Local Government Area
Somerset Region Local Government Area
Scenic Rim Region Local Government Area
Lockyer Valley Local Government Area
Moreton Bay Local Government Area
Redland City Local Government Area
The purpose of this Direction is to identify Queensland COVID-19 restricted areas for the purpose of:
Public Health Direction - Movement and Gathering (No. 3) or its successor
Prohibits more than 10 people gathering publicly, and limits visitors to a private residence to a maximum of 10 people within restricted areas.
Public Health Direction – Disability Accommodation Services (No. 1) or its successor
Prohibits visitors to the restricted disability accommodation services in the listed local government areas.
Allows people to enter the service to provide essential disability support e.g. bladder and bowel management, medication management, behaviour management, respiratory management etc.
Allows an operator of a service discretion to grant permission for a person to enter to provide behavioural, emotional or social support to a resident where necessary.
Recommends people entering the services have a flu vaccination.
Aligns with the record keeping and PPE requirements under the Aged Care Direction.
Does not limit residents from leaving the service.
